December 8th lesson

Dear students,
Today you will start to draw your mind map for your final paper, which is worth fifty points. If you are stuck for ideas, the textbook has several examples in the appendix (Learning from Model Student Essays, from page 77).

Academic Writing Students` Booklet

It is a good idea to take a look at these essays not just for ideas, but also to familiarize yourself with academic writing, APA formatted in-text citations, and APA formatted references.

Here are three suggestions for academic writing:
1) Research your topic thoroughly. Make notes and keep track of your sources as you may want to cite them in your paper.
2) Cite experts and reliable sources; They will strengthen your argument.
3) Spend a long time drawing and editing your mind map.
4) Don't start to write until you are completely satisfied that your mind map can not be improved.

Kind regards,
Chris Elvin
